Beginners Wheel Class

This course is for beginners with no previous experience and those that have some experience throwing on a wheel. You will learn the fundamental skills of clay preparation, using a wheel, centring clay, how to throw basic forms, trimming and glazing. Each student will progress at their own pace and produce several pieces to take home to cherish. The class includes all materials clay, tools, glazes and firing.

Term Four Dates

Each course runs for 6 weeks starting week commencing 7 October 2019

Please note there will be no class on  Tuesday 5 November due to the Melbourne Cup public holiday, so the last class will be 19 November 2019

What to bring?

Bring an old towel and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. An apron or old shirt is perfect. Please also wear enclosed shoes. No watches or rings are to be wore into class. Long hair is best tied back & long nails may damage your work.

Please note that our courses are designed for adults and we take students 18+ years old. Students 15 – 17 years old are welcome to enrol in the class if they are accompanied by an enrolled adult.
