Beginners/Intermediate Wheel Class -8 week course

This course is for beginners with no previous experience and those that have some experience throwing on a wheel. You will learn the fundamental skills of clay preparation, using a wheel, centring clay, how to throw basic forms, trimming and glazing. Each student will progress at their own pace and produce several pieces to take home to cherish. The class includes all materials clay, tools, glazes and 3 kg of firing. If you wish to exceed 3kg of firing, an additional charge applies at $20/kg, which includes bisque & glaze firing & glaze materials payable on collection of your work. Each course runs for 8 weeks starting week commencing 15 April 2024.

You attend the same class once a week.

What to bring?

Bring an old towel and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. An apron or old shirt is perfect. Please also wear enclosed shoes. Long hair is best tied back & long nails may damage your work. No watches or rings are to be worn.

Please note that our courses are designed for adults and we take students 18+ years old. Students 15 – 17 years old are welcome to enrol in the class if they are accompanied by an enrolled adult. If you are purchasing a class with an under 18 year old please inform us in the comment section of your online purchase.
