Intermediate&Beginners WheelClass -8 week course
With Kevin Boyd
FORM AND SURFACE CONNECTIVITY
FORM, or the 3D dimensions of ceramic objects sets up a symbiotic relationship with its SURFACE, which becomes critical to the success of a finished work.
This term we will focus on a wider range of form making that in turn will provide potential for surface qualities that can generate satisfying connectivity between these two essential elements.
Demonstrated wheel throwing techniques will be available to explore mark making, slip decoration, sgraffito, stamping, colour application techniques and a widening range of glaze applications. Some previous experience, particularly the potter’s wheel is recommended.
